8 Movie Scenes to Frame Your Mind for Killer Sales Calls

Yesterday, while adding the 61st scene to Movie Night for Salespeople, I was thinking about finding some perfect scenes from movies that could capture the essence of how to frame one’s mind for a good sales call. I came up with a combination of these eight:

It would begin with a Rob Schneider cameo from any Adam Sandler movie where he says, “You can do it!”

At 1:46 of an old episode of “CSI” Gil says, “If you want to go fast sometimes you have to go slow.”

Then, this scene from “Everybody Loves Raymond” reminds us to use active listening.

This scene, from the short-lived series, “Hello Tomorrow” shows us that we need to uncover the prospect’s compelling reason to buy at 2:22 (but don’t do it the way the salesperson does it. Instead of asking questions he just talks, and talks, and talks, and talks.)

The one-liner at the end of this scene from “Dumb and Dumber” tells us that having happy ears is not qualifying.

At 3:57, the second half of this scene from RV shows us to present to their compelling reasons to buy.

If they need to think things over, this scene from “Better Call Saul” shows one way to overcome that at 3:23.

And when we get the business, this line from every episode of Dora the Explorer where she sings, “We Did it” puts a ribbon on it.

Aside from Dora and Rob Schneider, the other six scenes are among the 61 clips in Movie Night for Salespeople!
